The Story
In a dystopian future set in 2035, the story follows Dorothy Gale, a sixteen-year-old girl living in the desolate Kansas Containment Zone.
This harsh landscape is characterized by cracked earth, abandoned machinery, and a perpetually hazy sky.
Dorothy resides in the Gale Farm biodome, a battered geodesic structure, alongside her gaunt Aunt Em and Uncle Henry.
Her only companion is Toto, a cyber-terrier gifted to her by her father before containment laws were enacted.
The World of Oz-2035
The world of OZ is a strikingly vibrant technocracy that sharply contrasts with the desolation of the Kansas Containment Zone. It features diverse regions, each with unique characteristics and atmospheres.
General OZ is alive with an impossible vibrancy, filled with a buzzing network and a pervasive green glow leading to the Emerald City Hub. The landscape is a captivating blend of elements, creating a strange yet harmonious environment.
Sector East, where Dorothy's biodome crash-lands, showcases fields of engineered flora in neon hues, pulsing with bioluminescence. Towering atmospheric purifiers hum in the background, while the air is thick with the sweet scent of synthetic plants. The terrain shifts from glowing crops to dense groves of metallic trees, with notable features like the Poppy Network, where crimson flowers emit disruptive signals, and the River of Code, characterized by crystalline outcrops and humming server towers.
The Emerald City Hub stands as the heart of OZ, a dazzling city of glass and code, visible from afar with its vibrant green spires. Inside, it is a bustling metropolis of drones and bots, with floating platforms and holographic displays. The Yellow Data Line guides visitors through the streets to the Central Hub, a towering dome alive with cascading data and the presence of "OZ."
In stark contrast, the Western Sector is a desolate wasteland, marked by twisted plasteel and deactivated drones. The air is thick with the acrid smell of overheating circuits, and the sky is a bruised purple, filled with corrupted data. This area houses W3ST's Core Nexus, a fortified citadel that exudes an ominous atmosphere, with dark corridors and a low, menacing hum permeating the air.
